I began my teaching career at Wolfe County High School in 1998 with a BA in English from Morehead State University, followed by a Masters in Secondary Education and National Board Certification in English. Prior to my teaching career, I served as executive director of two community and faith based social service organizations in eastern Kentucky.  As a veteran teacher, I have participated in many local, state, and national activities. I am a fellow of the  National Writing Project (Morehead State University) and the Literacy Studies Program (University of Louisville) and have presented at a variety of state and national events,  Currently I am involved in a variety of literacy intervention activities.  I believe the ability to read well is a skill all students should have.  I am a life-long resident of Wolfe County and it is a privilage to serve the students and parents of Wolfe County.
