Wolfe County Schools Guest Speaker Talks About Bullying

Recently County Attorney Steve Johnson visited county schools to speak about laws relating to bullying. He informed students of new bullying and harassment laws that are in place to protect students. Mr. Johnson outlined what bullying is defined as in terms of the legal system and how they can utilize staff and resources inside their own schools to work against bullying.  Mr. Johnson also spoke about the dangers of cyber bullying or bullying/harassing others on the internet or through social media which is also considered a crime.  Finally he spoke to the students about the importance of being cautious on the internet concerning personal information and knowing whom you are communicating with.  Wolfe County Schools would like to thank Mr. Johnson for speaking to our students and for coming back year after year to help students learn about these very important topics.
