5th Grade sets Goals for AR Points
Mr. Elam’s 5th grade reading classes are working hard to earn their 50 A.R. points each required to attend the Barnes & Noble field trip. They have also set their own goals along with the field trip. Some goals they have set were having more points than the 5th grade classes at Rogers Elementary School and Red River Valley Elementary combined. Ms. Patton’s homeroom set a goal to earn 1,500 A.R. points as a class. Mr. Carroll's homeroom set a goal to earn 1000 A.R. points as a class. Mr. Elam's homeroom set a goal to earn 950 A.R. points as a class.

These eager students are very motivated and well on their way to achieve their goals. I ask all my students parents/guardians to encourage your child to read so they will succeed in reaching these goals. Ms. Patton’s homeroom A.R. point leader is Haley Conner with 95.4. Mr. Carroll’s homeroom A.R. point leader is Kristen McConnell with 29.4. Mr. Elam’s homeroom A.R. point leader is T.J. Stamper with 20.5. The top five 5th grade class A.R. point leaders are Haley Conner with 95.4, Luke Thompson with 86.3, Dillon Mayse with 47.6, Kallie Brown with 42.7, and Austin Caldwell & Gracie Mayabb tied with 37.4. I want to thank these students for their commitment and dedication with reading. Keep it up kids!
