Wolfe County High School Marching Band Plays in Lexington’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade

On March 15th the Wolfe County High School Marching Band traveled to Lexington to play in the St. Patrick’s Day parade.  This has become an annual event for the Wolfe County High School Band. During the spring of 2012 the band was scheduled to play in the parade but was forced to withdraw due to the damage to the school and lost equipment resulting from the storms of the first week of March. The band returned to the 2013 parade in Lexington serving as an honor invitee.  The story of the band’s recovery and return to the parade was featured on state television stations and in newspapers around Kentucky.  This year the band returned once again to the streets of Lexington for the very popular St. Patrick’s Day parade.  A huge thanks to band director Hugh Hale and all the staff, volunteers, and parents who support a great Wolfe County High School band program.
