Wolfe County Schools Use Interactive Technology

Recently Wolfe County Middle School students used interactive visual technology to teach Campton Elementary students about presenting research on a visual and interactive touch board.  The middle school students worked with the 4th grade science students at Campton Elementary on placing their research on biomes such as rainforests, deserts, etc. on a Discovery Education tech platform that could be presented in numerous ways to others.  The 4th graders had to provide web links where they found all of their research.  The middle school students used a visual interactive interface online to communicate with and show the Campton Elementary students working in their own school from their computer lab how to utilize the Discovery Education video presentation board to present their material.  This is the latest in technology allowing our students to go to places they have never been via interactive technology, learn from people from far distances, or interact with their classmates and other students in the district without ever leaving their classroom or school.  This interactive technology is made possible through a Race to the Top Grant helping Wolfe County Schools remain a leader in teaching our students to interact in a global society.   A huge thanks to all school staff that made this wonderful activity possible for our students.
